To get an idea of how the wealthy settlers lived, be sure to visit this Monterrey-style, two story adobe built by Don Raymundo Olivas in 1847.  Vignettes of each of the adobe's rooms depict period furnishings the early California rancho period.

This wonderful complex of buildings include the main house, a smaller educational building, a fountain, a grand courtyard and an herb garden.  Once the center of a 4,700 acre ranch, this home is now the site of special events.

Directions:
Take the 101 to Telephone Road.  Turn away from the mountains. At Olivas Park Drive turn left.  The adobe will be on your left.
